Get to know JCRC's BookMates with the new "Meet a BookMate Reader" Series!

Our first (January 2023) "BookMate" to meet in our new "Meet a BookMate" series is Celestine Berg:

Celestine Berg lives in Cherry Hill with her husband Jeff and she has two grown children David and Rebecca. She rescued her dog Bella, a loving addition to her home. When She was working outside of her home, she held a variety of positions with her last career being in sales.  

She is an active volunteer and in past years she has served as PTA president in her children’s school. She served on many boards and currently serves on our JCRC board. This is her first year reading with BookMates. She is currently reading in two schools, one located in the city of Camden and the other in the Cherry Hill school district.

Celestine will enthusiastically tell you, “I have volunteered in many different positions over the years for many different organizations, but BookMates, by far, has been the most rewarding. BookMates has afforded me the opportunity to truly make a difference in someone’s life!  I find it to be incredibly humbling and gratifying…It literally feeds my soul!”
