Government Relations: Our Local Jewish Federation and JCRC of SNJ

Building relationships with our elected officials is essential to our JCRC. Throughout the years, the Jewish Federation of SNJ agencies have built meaningful and impactful partnerships with our legislators throughout South Jersey.

During the height of the COVID pandemic and the incredible rise of antisemitism in our state, strengthening those bonds is even more important than ever.  Over the last 18 months, the JCRC of SNJ, our local JFCS and our parent Jewish Federation have been meeting with elected officials to remind them of all the resources and services that we have as a system for them to utilize for our community.

With the assistance of David Spector, Chair of the JCRC of SNJ Government Affairs, our trio of agencies have met with local Mayors in our area, as well as several State Senators and Assemblymen. Throughout the summer, appointments will be made with more officials including County Commissioners and Superintendents. Advocacy is a cornerstone to our JCRC's mission.  If you would like to become involved with our government relations efforts, please visit our Government Relations section of our website and reach out to Sabrina Spector at sspector@jfedsnj.org
