Professor Peckel currently serves as the Executive Director of Confederation of Jewish Communities of Columbia, Commissioner to combat antisemitism at the Latin American Jewish Congress, and an Executive member of the World Jewish Congress.

 

Professor Peckel has been recognized as one of the 40 most influential pro-Israel leaders in Latin America 

Professor Peckel will share his research related to the European Jews migration to South America prior to and after the Holocaust, discuss how the Jewish immigrants adjusted to and fostered the creation of a new culture in Columbia and South America and the efforts made currently and in the past to promote South American support of Israel.
